Pastor Jay Bessmer
Pastor Jay Bessmer is our Senior Pastor. He began his ministry at Bethany in September 2011 after moving from Nebraska with his wife, Sarah and their five children, TJ, Gracyn, Cailyn, McKenna and Ashley. Pastor Jay graduated the Ministry Preparation Course of Study and following his education, was ordained an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Jay has a great desire to impact the lives of our community as he continually evaluates more effective ways to reach this community for Christ.
Pastor Jason Avery
Pastor Jason Avery is the Student & Family Formation Pastor. He began his ministry at Bethany in June 2012 after moving from Oklahoma with his wife, Amy. They have 3 children, Austin, Kandace and Jeffrey. Pastor Jason is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University and following his education, was ordained an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene. He has a great desire to see spiritual growth in students as he strives to help children understand they are disciples of today and equipping them with the tools to continually develop a growing relationship with Christ.
Pastor Kelcie Exline
Pastor Kelcie is the Worship Arts Pastor and an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene. A Kansas native, she began her ministry at Bethany in September 2014 after returning from Oklahoma. Pastor Kelcie graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a BA in Theology (2011) and from Nazarene Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity (2017) and was ordained an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene. She is passionate about seeing people come to know the love of God and freedom in Christ, as well as equipping believers in sharing this good news with the world! In her down time, Pastor Kelcie enjoys songwriting and recording in her home studio, photography, board sports, hiking, traveling, rec sports, playing board games, learning Spanish, and spending time with friends and family.
Kim Easdon has been serving as the Administrative Assistant for the Bethany family since January of 1999. Kim is always finding creative and efficient ways to better maintain the church office and to also assist in many other areas of the ministries of Hutch Bethany. With her husband, Jess, and three children, the Easdons are volunteering to serve this church and community in a Christ-like manner.
